I think it is designed to be used when browning and crumbling ground meets which is what I used it for to start with. But, since I don't have a traditional masher and have always used a large fork to mash potatoes, I decided to give this a try when my boys were ready to move past the smooth purees and onto chunkier blends. I loved it! I now use it daily to mash cooked produce, mix items together, and break up meat or other foods in a skillet.
Get creative in your kitchen and consider how you might be able to use simple items.
